Which is the best treatment for Salpingitis?

Salpingitis is inflammation of the fallopian tubes, triggered by bacterial infection. This condition is a common cause of female infertility because the inflammation can damage the fallopian tubes. Salpingitis is sometimes called pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). Salpingitis may have no symptoms, but signs may include abnormal vaginal discharge, spotting between periods, painful periods, pain during ovulation or sex and lower back pain.

Salpingitis is one of the most common causes of female infertility. Without prompt treatment, the infection may permanently damage the fallopian tube so that the eggs released each menstrual cycle can't meet up with sperm.


Treatment depends on the severity of the condition, but may include surgical treatments and medical treatments. Surgical treatment would be used if the condition resists drug treatment. It is always used to drain the accumulation of pus or fluid in tubes. In the most serious condition, the removal of the fallopian tube would be taken into consideration. Surgical treatment would do great harm do our body, so doctor would not recommend we to use this way, unless your situation is very serious that couldn't be controlled by medicines. Antibiotics: The treatment with antibiotics was the most common way to treat salpingitis. There are some antibiotics, such as ox tetracycline, doxycycline, and tetracycline, etc. However, these antibiotics are always with their side effects. They cannot be used for a long time and may cause damage to the body.

Hormone: In special cases, the adrenocortical hormone is used to combine with the antibiotics. However, it also has many side effects, such as obesity, metabolic disorders, and endocrine dyspraxia etc.

Herbal medicine: In addition to the above, herbal medicine could be the best treatment for salpingitis.
