Women's Health: Get Information on Common Health

All Womens Health

Fallopian tubes, as one of the most important reproductive organs for a woman, carry mature eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. At least one of these tubes must remain open in order to get pregnant for a woman. The fallopian tube is the place where fertilization typically occurs, and when it's blocked sperm and egg cannot meet naturally. As a result, it's of great significance to get acquainted with the factors and treatment for blocked fallopian tubes.

According to some researches, blocked fallopian tubes contribute to 40% of infertility cases in women. Sometimes, the fallopian tubes can become blocked or even damaged due to certain conditions that a woman may suffer from. The blockage to the fallopian tubes is rarely present as a birth defect, but has gone undetected until the woman reached adulthood and tried to conceive.

Understanding the factors of blocked fallopian tubes

1. STDs

STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) are the most common causes of blockages, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc. These can result in the development of scar tissue that blocks the fallopian tubes and prevents pregnancy.

2. PID

PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) can also lead to blockages of fallopian tubes. If one has a history of PID, one will be at greater risk of developing blocked fallopian tubes and infertility than other healthy women.

3. Endometriosis

Uterine tissue grows outside its normal location and implant on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or other organs in women with endometriosis. Thus, endometriosis can also lead to blocked fallopian tubes and result in infertility finally.

4. Ectopic pregnancies

Ectopic pregnancies indicate that the fertilized egg implants in the wrong place, usually in the fallopian tube. Consequently, these pregnancies cannot grow to term naturally and they can cause scarring and blockages when they burst or are removed.

5. Uterine infections

If one had a uterine infection in the past due to a miscarriage or abortion, it's possible for one or both fallopian tubes to be blocked.

Knowing the causes of blocked fallopian tubes may help better formulate an effective treatment plan. Laparoscopy surgery is the most common way to open blocked tubes by removing the existing scar tissue. However, surgery will cause physical damage to some extent so it's not a perfect option for patients. By comparing, Fuyan Pill maybe a better option because it's made from Chinese herbs and will not cause any side effects and drug resistance.
